At approximately 2 years old, Bear didn’t expect his life to change overnight.

One day he had a home… and the next, he found himself in a shelter — not because he did anything wrong, but because his owner could no longer care for him. And just like that, Bear was left wondering what comes next.

But here’s where his story takes a turn… ❤️

On the very same day, Paws in Prison stepped in.

Now Bear is on a brand new journey — one filled with structure, second chances, and people who believe in him.

This handsome little Corgi has already stolen hearts with his soulful eyes and sweet personality. He’s the kind of dog who quietly leans into you, who just wants to be close, who is learning that life hasn’t given up on him… and neither should he.

Right now, Bear is working on becoming his best self:
🐾 Learning obedience and building confidence
🐾 Bonding with his inmate trainers who are pouring love into him
🐾 And yes… shedding a few extra pounds so he can live a longer, healthier life

He’s not just losing weight — he’s gaining a future.

Bear is looking for a home that will continue his journey. A family that will love him for who he is, support who he’s becoming, and never let him feel forgotten again.

Because dogs like Bear don’t need perfect…
They just need forever.
